[Our Winery]

We invite you to come and visit our new winery perched high up on the hilltop on Eola Hills Road.
The tasting room is open by appointment. To schedule a tasting, please contact us.

The Winery's History: Don and Carolyn Byard, owners of the Eola Hills Vineyard were pioneers in the Oregon Wine Industry. They planted their vineyard in the early 1970’s when there were only nine wineries in the state of Oregon - many of which were fruit wineries. Their vineyard was one of the first to be planted in the Eola Hills. Soon after, they founded Hidden Springs Winery also one of the first Oregon wineries where they received their water from a spring below the property.

In 1993, they sold the winery to Gino Cuneo of  Cana’s Feast (formerly Cuneo Cellars) and continued to farm their vineyard and grow fruit for other producers. Cuneo remained at the winery until 2001 until the construction of his new winery in Carlton was complete.

Our friends Sam Tannahill and Cheryl Francis of Francis-Tannahill Winery leaped at the opportunity to move in and produce their wine there (along with Hatcher Wines). Sam recalls “I have some great memories of Jimi coming to the winery. He spent a good amount of time up there with us and we always discussed buying it, adding on to it or sharing the space with him. It was certainly a space that he was seriously thinking about making his own wine in”.

The original winery used to be surrounded by Brooks prune trees which the Byards harvested for 13 years.  The prunes were dried inside the old winery where an old tunnel used to exist. This space is now where our barrels will rest.

This is a tremendous opportunity for the Brooks brand. For the first time, we will have a space that we can call our own and welcome visitors from around the world to gather around the table and taste our wines in a beautiful setting. Please email us to visit the winery and schedule a tasting.
