Summer is finally coming! After a long and wet winter and spring, the Willamette Valley is beginning to bustle with the feeling of summer coming! The vines are leafing, the flowers are in bloom and the sun is finally shining! It has been an interesting winter and spring for everyone with the constantly changing economy. My mantra in challenging times is to worry about what you CAN control! Thus, Chris has been crafting some amazing new white wines in the cellar and I have been out expanding our geographic reach in Los Angeles and Arizona. One of our founding philosophies was making high quality wines at an affordable price point. Jimi used to always say he wanted his wine on your table every night! Thus, over the past 4 years we have increased our production which as allowed us to keep our price points affordable. For years, our wines have been reviewed and referred to as great "value wines". Many in the industry would translate that into an opportunity to increase price. We never took that step! We have in turn held prices as low as possible holding true to that founding philosophy!
