Carl Muska’s volcanic vineyard site bares fruit evocative of smoked violets and raspberries. This small production, single vineyard Eola Amity Hills Pinot Noir is high on the scale of delicious! . Only 50 cases produced.

Killer spices floating from the glass; cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom and clove. Ludens, life savers and cherry jell-o. Red fruit and red flowers on a summer day. Cranberry, cherry and rhubarb. Red plum, macerated strawberry and basil, fresh herbs and frosting. In the mouth, the wine has a filling richness, finishing with mouth watering acidity and red fruit. It actually opens on the finish with broadness, fat fruit and earthiness. Satisfying with its deliciousness and pure hedonism.

I would pair this with richer dishes, like grilled pork, grilled duck or venison. So good as well with smoked salmon crushed up with garlic and fat noodles in fish sauce in a wok. Can definitely see this with seared fatty waygu beef over rice. Yum.
