A lovely lifted bright red fruit nose. Red cherries, cola, sassafrass, cinnamon, cardamom and white mushrooms. Plenty of bright red fruit in the mouth, spicy and delicate with a high herbal note of hay and cut grass with orange pith. Focused and elegant, rose petals, violets, red plum and strawberry. An extra long finish of pretty red fruit, white mushroom and spice with medium acidity.
I’m thinking of dishes like skate wing with capers, olives and golden raisins. Squab with crispy skin. Definitely pork chops, or roast chicken with tarragon and roasted root vegetables.
