2014 Sunny Mountain Pinot Noir

$48.00 / Bottle

Tucked into the foothills of the south Willamette near Monroe, lies this Bellpine silt clay vineyard. Dark and ripe fruit flavors dance though layers of warm spices and finish with a balloné of juicy acidity. Yum!
Chris Blanchard, MS

Wonderful baking spices on the nose, clove, nutmeg, vanilla pods. Bright, ripe cherry aromas, huckleberry, raspberry, blackberry pie and pastry shell. Such a beautiful and inviting nose!

Rich and lush fruit flavors. Silky, voluptuous, expansive and velvety in the mouth. Creamy, ripe red cherry, wild berry, raspberry and red currant. Full bodied and lush with complex spices and an everlasting long finish of fruit, smoke and vanilla. A pure hedonistic pleasure; smoke, bacon fat and truffle with sauteed hen of the woods mushrooms and luscious texture.

This would pair well with fish dishes like skate wing, bacon wrapped shrimp or scallops, duck risotto, gnocchi, or pork chops, lamb chops or a perfectly cooked piece of filet mignon.

92 – Vinous

Vivid red. Expressive, smoke- and mineral-accented aromas of fresh cherry and red berries, joined by emerging hints of cola and vanilla. Juicy and focused on the palate, offering vibrant black raspberry and bitter cherry flavors that become sweeter and deeper with aeration. Sneaky tannins lend shape to a very long, seamless, red-fruit-dominated finish that shows excellent clarity and energetic thrust.
