Winemaker Notes
Our goal with the runaway red is to create a lighter bodied pinot noir with bright red fruit flavors. Nothing too aggressive on the palate, with finer grain tannins and pleasant acidity. the grapes were hand sorted and 100% Destemmed. they fermented in individual lots and went through a cold soak for 7-20 days. After racking to barrel, the wines aged for ten months in 80% older barrels and 20% New French and Hungarian Oak. unfined and filtered.

I'm so sorry that this is not available any more. This Runaway Red (my friends and I loved even the title, because I am a redhead!) was my first introduction to the Brooks wines. I so wish that there were more. We will certainly miss it! Also, we loved the bottle.
