Commitment: Wine

To craft and pour ageworthy wines and make it easy to discover wines you’ll love.

Over the past six months, our Assistant Winemaker, Claire Jarreau, and Lauren Williams tasted through our entire line up of wines in an effort to classify their predominant flavor profiles so we could map them to the scales you see below. In addition, they identified a number of older wines that are drinking beautifully and we are offering those as part of our ongoing Library Series.

Brooks Pinot Noir Scale

Do you prefer an earthy wine or a fruit-forward wine? Red fruit or black fruit? Or do you prefer something more floral? We understand buying wine online can be challenging. For that reason we have created our very own Pinot scale. We tasted through all of our wines and plotted their flavors on this handy chart. We hope it comes in useful in your Pinot Noir shopping.

At Brooks, we use the International Riesling Foundation’s Riesling Taste Profile scale to make it easy for our customers to know if the Riesling they are purchasing is dry, sweet, or somewhere in-between.
