2013 Janus Pinot Noir

$ 38.00 / Bottle

In Roman mythology, Janus is the God representing balance for new beginnings and endings, the future and the past, and the connecting doorways. Janus is our flagship. It possesses the richest, most vibrant and intense blend that we produce. This wine is the ultimate expression of Pinot Noir!
Stalky, rhubarb, bright red cherry, violet, smoke, roasted beets and forest floor with subtle brown spice. Lighter bodied with brilliant, focused red fruit; red cherry, cool climate raspberry, beet root, sasparilla, cola and mushroom. Earthy, finish with red fruit, forest floor, hummus, root, portabella. Lively bright acidity with a finish that suggests earth, mineral, rich soil and under ripe red fruits. Lovely.

This is the style that would work so well with pork and white meats. Roast chicken, pork tenderloin with cherries, duck, etc. Also good with tomatoes, especially with grilled whole fish with a set of roasted tomatoes, olives and capers!
