This bottling is about great relationships, patience and good fortune. When we were approached with the opportunity to purchase fruit from the well known old vine vineyard, we couldn’t say yes fast enough. Temperance Hill single vineyard wines are some of my favorite in the Willamette Valley. He are honored to be able to make one of our own.
Brooding rich fruit on the nose. Blackberry, huckleberry, plum, currant and black cherry. Oven roasted mushrooms, forest floor, cola and roasted beets.

Medium to full bodied, dark fruit with an herbal earthiness. Mush- rooms cooked with herbs de Provence, macerated cooked straw- berries, white fig, black plums and black currant. Ripe raspberry, rhubarb, venison, lamb, game with smoky fruit. The wine carries moderate tannins, slightly stalky with an amazing finish of earth, mineral and fruit. Complex and long lasting.

This would certainly work with meats, including cassoulet, ribs, beef fillet, rosemary crusted pork tenderloin, short ribs, etc. A pure powerhouse like a single vineyard Nuits St George.

Limpid ruby-red. Powerful, mineral- and spice-accented red and dark berry and candied rose scents pick up notes of woodsmoke, vanilla and licorice with air. Sappy, penetrating black raspberry and bitter cherry flavors show excellent depth and focus, and notes of spicecake and anise add complexity. Becomes sweeter with air and shows impressive precision on the subtly tannic, strikingly long finish, where red fruit and floral liqueur notes linger.
