What our team says
This Medium sweet Riesling has gorgeously ripe notes of dried stone fruits, quince and sweet tarts with a hint of baking spices and petrol on the finish.
Creamy garlic parmesan Risotto with pea shoots, fresh basil & chives.
Unctuous flavors of red apple skin, dried mango, and allspice followed by quenching acidity and lingering dried fruits and minerality.
Sweet P is Brooks’s off-dry riesling from estate fruit. Despite being luscious and juicy with pomelo and tangerine flavor, it also has plenty of complexity in its chalk and celery-salt textures, its honeysuckle phenols gathering the finish. Flush with fruit and with energy, it’s a great pour with Korean bibimbap.
Vintage Notes
A wet, cool spring delayed flowering until late June, which set the stage for a later harvest than the previous three vintages.
Hot, dry conditions prevailed through the summer, yielding heat spikes in August. With a larger than normal fruit set, the grapes enjoyed long hang time leading up to harvest. Conditions cooled and brought in scattered rains with the harvest, which began at Brooks on the 28th of September and ran through November 1st, almost returning to normal average harvest dates in the Willamette Valley.
The wines from the vintage show fresh fruit flavors and lively acidity. In all, it will be remembered as a classic vintage in Oregon!
