Dave McIntyre, Washington Post
A bright and inviting Pinot Gris with expressive notes of citrus, stone fruits, pear, and green apple with a lengthy, oyster shell finish.
Jillian Barnhart
Sommelier
Pair with a warm pear crisp of Bartlett pears, cinnamon, brown sugar, nutmeg, ginger, and toasted oatmeal.
Norma Buchholz
Chef
Pleasurable, acid driven and food friendly. Notes of key lime, sea shell and hints of almond paint the nose. The palate showcases granny smith apple and meyer lemon. Linear with mid-palate heft, this wine finishes with lingering quenching salinity.

Winemaking Notes

Rain events at the beginning of bloom diminished yields, and a dry summer was punctuated with unprecedented heatwaves. The timing worked in our favor since the heat happened pre-veraison, and the vines handled it well.

Harvest started in early September, but lower temperatures across the state allowed for a long and measured harvest season, with harvest extending into mid-October.

No disease, high sugars, balanced acids, and great flavors. 2021 will undoubtedly rank as one of the top Oregon vintages.
