Blending Class: Be a Winemaker for a Day

Learn the art of blending wine!

In 2015 we bottled the three Pinot Noir clones from our Estate Vineyard individually: 115, 777 and Old Vine Pommard. These distinct clones are the building blocks for our Rastaban Pinot Noir. In this class you will taste through the wines and try your hand at making your own unique blend.

Space is limited to 16 guests. The single clone wines, two of which have never been released for sale, will be available for purchase after the class.

it “Gorgeous”. Want to see for yourself? We raided the library and found eight amazing 2012’s.

Join us and taste six wines from the exquisite 2012 vintage. We will have available four 2012 Pinot Noirs and four 2012 Rieslings. Chef Norma will pair each with a delectable bite.

Cooking Class: How to Make Sushi

Stick to those healthy New Year’s resolutions with Chef Norma’s January Cooking Class on how to make sushi!

Learn how to make sushi, eat sushi and how to pair wine with sushi. This class includes a glass of white wine and a glass of red wine.

We will also send you home with the recipe so you can share this experience with friends and family.

This class is appropriate for both experienced and new cooks.

How to Taste Wine

Do you ever feel intimidated by wine?

At Brooks we believe that wine is supposed to be fun and relieve stress, not cause it. 

In this fun and engaging class, Jillian will guide you through a tasting exercise focused on the main building blocks of wine: tannin, sweetness, acid and alcohol.

After, you will explore these concepts while tasting two red wines and two white wines.

After class, guests will have the tasting room to themselves for 30 minutes prior to opening.

Wine, beer, cider, and coffee will be available for purchase and our full food menu will be available at 11am.

Movie Night at Brooks – Sideways

Barrel Tasting

Spend the afternoon with our production team in our barrel cellar.
 
Explore the delicious 2018 vintage by tasting through six different Pinot Noirs in barrel. As you taste, learn how the soil, elevation, vine age, aspect, and clone can impact the resulting wine as we share examples across the many Pinot Noir sites we partner with.
 
Finish with a delicious meal in our Ouroboros Room prepared by our chef alongside two exclusive library wines.

Sight Deprivation Tasting

Join us for our inaugural Sight Deprivation Tasting!
 
During this unique sensory experience guests will be blindfolded.
 
The tasting will begin with a sensory exercise to enhance the sense of smell followed by a blind tasting of four wines. By temporarily removing sight, your other senses will be heightened and your mind will be better engaged and focused to observe the wines.
