2010 Legacy Pinot Noir

TASTING NOTES — Chris Blanchard, MS

Incredible aromatics, complex and sexy. A classic black cherry andcranberry combination with fresh portabella mushrooms, cinnamon stick, clove and curry. Hard cherry candy with a hint of white truffle, dark red rose petal and cola.

Amazing textural elements, seem- less and balanced, with lush cherry and raspberry fruit, red plum, rhubarb and a hint of bacon fat.

The wine is silky, plush and velvet like on the palate, with a wonderful presence from first taste to the lengthy finish. So elegant and precise. It carries an earthiness again of truffle, mushroom and forest floor, with notes of orange peel, rose, violets, cola, black tea and cinnamon. The finish is stunning.

This is a main course wine indeed. Squab, guinea hen, fowl are good pairings, as well as duck or pork tenderloin with baked apples or
cherries. The Legacy would hold up to beef en croûte, like a Wellington, or a simple rare filet mignon with mushrooms.
