2015 Orchard Fold Riesling Magnum 1.5L

This Medium Dry Riesling is bodied, ripe but not quite sweet and highly aromatic of floral notes and herbs. Definitely getting the fresh cut basil, thyme, and parsley and the wine finishes with gobs of fruit and beautiful, refreshing medium plus acid.

Comprised of riesling grapes from the Orchard Fold vineyard located in Eola-Amity Hills. The vines were planted in 2007 in volcanic basalt-nekia and jory soil.

Winemaking Notes

A warm winter yielded bud break three weeks earlier than normal and lead into bloom under exceptional weather conditions. A dry and hot summer was broken up by rain in late August, and favorably cooled down in September in time to result in one of the earliest harvests on record. The grapes at harvest were extraordinary in quantity and quality, offering ripeness, balance, and expressive flavor.
