2019 Sunny Mountain Pinot Noir
A complex and delicious Pinot Noir with rich notes of dark cherry, pomegranate syrup, and red apple skin. The tannins are seamlessly integrated, and the finish is lengthy.
Comprised of Pinot Noir grapes from Sunny Mountain vineyard located in the Willamette Valley. The vines were planted in 2005 in marine sedimentary-bellpine and volcanic basalt-ritner soil.
This Pinot Noir is comprised of 3 clones: 23 (Mariafeld), Pommard, and 115.

Winemaking Notes
A wet, but warm spring with a few mild frosts during late April and fewer than average heat spikes.
Near-record precipitation amounts during late June and early July brought increased disease pressure to the region.
The vintage will be remembered for the early rains in September and rapid cool down into October which challenged harvesting decisions.
The cool vintage came largely from substantially lower maximum temperatures while minimum temperatures were near average to slightly above average.
