94 Points | James Suckling - Stacks of wild herbs and a touch of fresh green beans in the nose. On the powerful and structured palate there’s more white peach and mandarin orange, the tension between ripeness and bold mineral acidity is dramatic. Long finish that’s chewy in the best sense. From a vineyard with volcanic soil. Limited production. Drink or hold.

Chef
Linear and piercing, this wine is a beautiful example of dry mineral riesling. Gunflint, slate and beeswax pair with heaps of fresh meyer lemon on the palate.

Winemaking Notes
Rain events at the beginning of bloom diminished yields, and a dry summer was punctuated with unprecedented heatwaves. The timing worked in our favor since the heat happened pre-veraison, and the vines handled it well.
Harvest started in early September, but lower temperatures across the state allowed for a long and measured harvest season, with harvest extending into mid-October.
No disease, high sugars, balanced acids, and great flavors. 2021 will undoubtedly rank as one of the top Oregon vintages.
