2014....A PIVOTAL YEAR IN THE MAKING

NEW WINERY CONSTRUCTION
On April 1, (no joke) we began construction on a new 12,000 square foot winery and tasting facility on the grounds of our Estate vineyard in the Eola Amity Hills. Chris will finally have production areas for both fermentation and barrels instead of having to play his current game of tetris! And for our customers, from the majestic setting where the winery will be located, on a clear the view will include four mountains on a sunny day behind the expanse of the Willamette Valley. The outdoor patios and comfortable tasting room will provide our customers with a warm, casual experience in pure Brooks style. Construction will be completed by harvest 2014!
AMERICAN WINE STORY
2014 takes us to the big screen! Three Crows Media has produced a documentary film about a groups of winemakers who were willing to take the life changing move to dive into the wine industry. The story of our founder, Jimi Brooks and the complete Brooks story is about half the content of the documentary. It is an amazing tribute to an amazing person! And it is taking off in the film festival world...currently headed to River Bend, Mendocino and Newport Beach! To watch the trailer, click here. WE HAVE ADDED TO OUR TEAM
We are pleased to announce that Jess Pierce is our new Director of Wine Education and Communications. Jess has a wonderful background including being a certified sommelier, her Masters in Food Culture and Communications; Human Ecology and Sustainability. After graduation, she interned in Germany with Dr. Loosen and Weingut Selbach-Oster. In Oregon, she not only has worked harvest for us, she was the key hospitality associate at Domaine Serene as well as the General Manager and sommelier at the awesome Ned Ludd restaurant in Portland. She is already having a tremendous impact and are glad to have her join our incredible team!
