2011 Ara Riesling

Exhibits incredible aromas of orange flower and citrus, followed by jasmine, honeysuckle, and even a touch of diesel. On the palate, expect a full-bodied experience (for a Riesling, at least) with ripe pear, lychee, passion fruit, and pineapple. There’s plenty of mouthwatering acidity to support the wine, plus tinges of herbs that tie everything together at the dinner table.

Named after the altar of the centaur known as Chiron, who was half horse, half man, and thought to be the wisest creature on Earth. Produced biodynamically when the stars are in the right alignment, this wine represents power and finesse and evolves in the cellar into a wine that truly is stellar.

The grapes for our Ara Riesling come from vines in Yamhill Vineyards and our Brooks Estate. Élevage takes place in stainless steel to retain the vibrant fruit character of Willamette Valley Riesling.
