This very special wine was produced exclusively for our friends at Kiss the Ground and is only available directly through Brooks. This wine is a dry Alsatian blend of 29% Pinot Blanc, 27% Muscat, 25% Riesling and 11% Pinot Gris with expressive floral and stone fruit notes that flow into a zippy, meyer lemon finish.
25% of the sales of this very special wine will be donated to Kiss the Ground, our 1% For the Planet recipient.
Flavor Notes
Kiss the Ground is an environmental nonprofit addressing global warming through the regenerative agriculture. Regenerative Agriculture is a system of farming principles and practices that increases biodiversity, enriches soils, improves watersheds, and enhances ecosystem services. Regenerative Agriculture aims to capture carbon in soil and aboveground biomass, reversing current global trends of atmospheric accumulation. At the same time, it offers increased yields, resilience to climate instability, and higher health and vitality for farming and ranching communities.
Winemaking Notes
A wet, but warm spring with a few mild frosts during late April and fewer than average heat spikes.
Near-record precipitation amounts during late June and early July brought increased disease pressure to the region.
The vintage will be remembered for the early rains in September and rapid cool down into October which challenged harvesting decisions.
The cool vintage came largely from substantially lower maximum temperatures while minimum temperatures were near average to slightly above average.
