Brooks has it all — Great story, great people, great wines.

Dave McIntyre, Washington Post
So many dark and delicious layers of peppercorn, black olive, bacon fat and dark fruits with a long, warm finish.

This wine would be SO good with a cast iron pepper crusted ribeye steak! Use the leftover dripping to make a roux and add mushrooms and fresh thyme sprigs to it, then deglaze with some cream, let it thicken and use the sauce over the steak!
Norma Buchholz
Chef
A deliciously crafted Petite Sirah from Southern Oregon, this wine is at once rich and elegant. Heaps of black pepper efuse from the glass followed by black plum, tobacco, and bacon fat. On the palate, this wine is voluminous, showcasing velvety tannins, wild blueberry compote and lingering black cherry.

Winemaking Notes

A wet, but warm spring with a few mild frosts during late April and fewer than average heat spikes.
Near-record precipitation amounts during late June and early July brought increased disease pressure to the region.
The vintage will be remembered for the early rains in September and rapid cool down into October which challenged harvesting decisions.
The cool vintage came largely from substantially lower maximum temperatures while minimum temperatures were near average to slightly above average.
A classic Oregon vintage!
