93 Points | James Suckling - "The vibrant nose of sour cherry pulls you into this juicy and energetic pinot noir. Medium-bodied, but focused palate with a pronounced rosemary note. Lots of drive at the very fresh and tensile finish, where there’s stacks of stony and citrus character. Develops nicely with a little aeration in the glass. Drink or hold."

- Stuart Pigott
One of our benchmark pinot noirs, the 2021 Muska vineyard designate showcases rhubarb, red currant, rose petal and hints of saucisson. The palate is filled with wild strawberries and cherry cola and bolstered by soft, fine tannins and a quenching saline finish.

With nice balance, enjoy this Pinot Noir with a 5 spiced duck breast with boysenberries.

Winemaking Notes

Rain events at the beginning of bloom diminished yields, and a dry summer was punctuated with unprecedented heatwaves. The timing worked in our favor since the heat happened pre-veraison, and the vines handled it well.
Harvest started in early September, but lower temperatures across the state allowed for a long and measured harvest season, with harvest extending into mid-October.
No disease, high sugars, balanced acids, and great flavors. 2021 will undoubtedly rank as one of the top Oregon vintages.
