2021 Oak Ridge Gewurztraminer
A brilliant Gewürztraminer with energetic layers of lychee, rose water, blood orange, and Turkish Delight.
Comprised of gewurztraminer grapes from the Oak Ridge vineyard located in the Columbia Gorge on the Washington side by White Salmon. The vines were planted in 1984 in wind-blown loess soil at 1,400′ in elevation.

Flavor Notes
Brooks has it all — Great story, great people, great wines.
An energetic Gewürztraminer that isn’t too floral with bright acidity and notes of roses, lychee, macadamia, and blood orange.
Sommelier
Pair this Gewurztraminer with rack of lamb with a sweet potato/ginger latke, and roasted asparagus with fresh orange zest, finished off with a fresh fig & white wine sauce.
Chef
Rose water, orange blossom and fresh ginger. The palate is weighty, with lychee, honeycrisp apple and a lingering saline finish.

Winemaking Notes
Rain events at the beginning of bloom diminished yields, and a dry summer was punctuated with unprecedented heatwaves. The timing worked in our favor since the heat happened pre-veraison, and the vines handled it well.
Harvest started in early September, but lower temperatures across the state allowed for a long and measured harvest season, with harvest extending into mid-October.
No disease, high sugars, balanced acids, and great flavors. 2021 will undoubtedly rank as one of the top Oregon vintages.
