
2022 Brooks Estate Pinot Gris
An approachable, ready-to-drink Pinot Gris with bright acidity and minerality and prominent notes of lemon and Bartlett pear.
Comprised of Pinot Gris grapes from our very own Brooks Estate vineyard located in the Eola-Amity Hills. The vines were planted in 1979 in volcanic basalt soil. Brooks Estate is biodynamic.

Flavor Notes

On the nose - overripe apple and minerality with bartlett pear and lemon on the palate and finishing off with balanced acidity.
Sommelier
Creamy chicken alfredo with grilled garlic chicken breast, wilted spinach, fresh parsley and shaved parmesan would pair wonderfully with this wine.
Chef
Pleasurable, acid driven and food friendly. Notes of key lime, sea shell and hints of almond paint the nose. The palate showcases granny smith apple and meyer lemon. Linear with mid-palate heft, this wine finishes with lingering quenching salinity.

Winemaking Notes
2022 Vintage:
Heavy frost in April delayed flowering and pushed back the season. Cool temperatures in May and June further delayed the vintage. The fear was that the grapes wouldn't ripen in time for harvest if the rain and cold weather came in early October as usual.
Luckily July and August saw hot temperatures that helped accelerate ripening, and temperatures remained warm, and the rains held off until mid-October, allowing for an extended ripening period.
We let our grapes hang out until the last possible minute, just before the rain and cold weather hit. The 2022 harvest was fast and furious, to say the least! The resultant wines are stunningly balanced and expressive. A truly classic Oregon vintage!
