Dear Friends,

I hope you had a wonderful week. My week was filled with your responses to last week’s email about the Wine Club. SO many great ideas and comments. I have created a google doc of all and made it required reading for the entire company. Thank you so much for the love and support. I will be highlighting different ideas in the next few weeks. For all who responded to this and the AHA Riesling moments, gifts are forthcoming. I head to Oregon beginning of May and will get them out!

A consistent theme throughout your emails was that being a part of the Brooks Wine Club feels like being a part of the Brooks family, which is unlike the feeling in other clubs. YAY! You are a part of our family and I am excited to find ways to continue to deepen our connection.

My apologies that I have not responded to each one of you individually–there are over 60 pages of notes from you all in my google doc! I feel blessed and so very grateful for all that you appreciate about Brooks. It is so rewarding for me to read all of this and know it will be for our team who works so hard as well! THANK YOU!

The two most consistent benefit ideas were providing information on the wines in shipments and loyalty points. We stopped adding paper notes to our shipments to be thoughtful about paper waste. Instead, we had a specific club page where all notes could be found online. It is time to reconsider this! We had loyalty points in our old system (and many of you still have balances that can be used! Just email [email protected] to use yours). We have good news on this front, we will have Loyalty Points back very soon! It is being tested now and we will be launching them shortly!

Happy Sunday!

Our Latest Addition to the Wine Club Benefits!

Winemaker Chris Williams with a glass of Brooks Wines

A new Wine Club benefit that we launched last month was a big success. Many of you commented on how much you enjoyed our first Virtual Wine Club Happy Hour–a way to bring our national community together! Winemaker, Chris Williams, who has been with Brooks for 20 years, will be joining us for our next Virtual Happy Hour on May 5th. He will tell us how he met Jimi, share his approach to winemaking and answer questions.
Want to join in the fun during these happy hours? Now is the perfect time to join the Wine Club. Shipments are heading out soon to stock you up for summer! With 3 tiers, discounts, exclusive access to wines and other great perks, there is a club for everyone.
Hear from our Wine Club Members why they feel like part of the Brooks family. Have questions? Email [email protected]

Happenings Last Week

Brooks wines and popcorn

As you know, at Brooks, every day is Earth Day, not just once a year. We did take the opportunity to do a virtual event with media to celebrate Earth Day and teach them about our biodynamic principles. Each participant received this cool kit complete with a Brooks branded gardening knife, snacks from Chef Norma, wildflower seeds, a biodynamic calendar, wines from the Estate, and fresh manure for their home gardens. Our hope is that the participants are now inspired to write about the event to spread the word about biodynamic farming and the practices at Brooks! It was a wonderful event!

Also last week, the verdict of the trial regarding the death of George Floyd occurred. It reminded me of a great article written about George Floyd’s dreams and the story of Brooks as told by Cathrine Todd. Cathrine’s writing expands traditional parallels and identifies the human component of these two stories. The article is a must-read.

The family and I are in Southern California visiting my son and celebrating my daughter’s birthday. It is cold and cloudy but nice to be together. We will see more family tomorrow as well.
